that time of year

happy st. patrick's day to all! i have exactly zero irish blood but i am definitely an irish wannabe. i embrace the fact that my husband is (half) irish, irish where it counts - the last name! that makes little gobbles a whole quarter irish, which i will celebrate every march and september. though this is his first st. patty's day, he's already been through irish weekend last september when i was 31 weeks pregnant. please note this picture is from a good angle on a black shirt - i was extremely large at that point but the magic of photography is hiding it.

so, despite another night of 3 hours' sleep, i'm in a fabulous mood. it could be that it's saint patrick's day. or that i got to meet up with some friends who were playing hookey and have some morning guinnesses (guinni?). or that i got to chat with other moms at yoga about this sleeping habit and found out no matter what, it will not last forever. or that it is GORGEOUS outside. probably d) all of the above.

gobbles shat up the carseat after yoga, but i didn't care - i opened the sunroof! i got home and the house stunk most likely from piled up dishes in the sink. oh well, i opened the windows! yea i know the logical thing to do would be wash the dishes and clean the kitchen you friggan slob. but i will, i need a nap first. i just love that everything is being aired out.

can't wait until hubs gets home and we fire up the grill and cook some burgers. and i'll have another guinness or two ;)

  1. Oh! The grill! What a good idea...

I think I'll have Todd figure out how to make hamburgers from ground beef. Think it'll work?
