a little something (or two)

I'm not up to anything... i swear!

today hubs and i were both home sick with a stomach bug gobbles gave us.  he had it a week and a half ago, passed it to my father-in-law and hubs' grandmother during a weekend visit. hubs got it late last week, spending the weekend on the couch. i managed to remain healthy until yesterday afternoon when it hit me...

prior to that though, we went to easter mass.  this was gobbles' first time in church since his baptism 14 months ago... we decided we needed to go in order to thank god for saving our puppy last week.  gobbles did pretty well - he loved the music and started dancing as the organ began the processional, a very enthusiastic little catholic he is.  at one point during the gospel his nose started running.  before i could reach for a tissue, my very efficient buddy grabbed his clip on tie, held it up to his nose, and blew.  he loves blowing his nose!

today when gobbles walked in after hubs picked him up from daycare (yes, he went to daycare even though we were both home.  in my defense, i actually went to work for an hour before i realized i wasn't going to make it), gobbles was wearing his "extra outfit".  oh no!  that's not the outfit he went to school in! i screamed, terrified that the stomach bug had returned (let's just say his bug last week was powerful enough to ruin outfits, something he hasn't done at daycare since he started on solids forever ago).  hubs laughed and relayed the story the teachers told him.

it got so hot today when the kids were playing outside that they decided to hose them down to cool off.  apparently, my gobbles loved it so much that he kept signing "more" (baby sign language is big there) and cracking up every time the water hit him.  they playfully began squirting him in the face and he opened his mouth wide ahhhhhh to take a drink.  he even found it hysterical that his glasses were all wet.

so i guess all it takes to keep my boy happy is a church organ and a garden hose... what a guy!

All dressed up and ready to... dance!
