on being a big boy... and FRIENDS!

my weekend was so much fun with my momma and daddy and friends and friends, i love to be out and about!

yup, gobbles here all you readers, giving my momma a break because i'm sure her mind is full of anxiety for the big day tomorrow.  we'll make sure my little brother or sister is healthy and growing up all right and we'll find out if the lil lobster roll is a girl or boy!  i can't wait!  every time mommy asks me i change my story, because i like to keep her guessing.  first i'll tell her i want a girl, then i say i want a brother!  so much fun being a trickster!

anyway, back to my excitement last weekend - i had so much to do!  mommy set up a playdate with my pal Lil Buddy on saturday after naptime.  even my daddy came on this playdate!  for some reason lil buddy and i are always shy around each other in the beginning, we don't like to share our mommies with each other.  but we went to the playground and unwound a bit, and lil buddy went on the swing!  i of course was too scared so i showed off my sliding skillz and took the wheel behind the fire engine - my favorite!

alright!  now we're moving.  we even picked up a random hitchhiker!

after the park we came back for some PIZZA!  i think i ate three slices, GET IN MAH BELLAY!  another cool friend Tato came by and brought pretty pink cupcakes.  i think my momma liked them but i don't have much of a sweet tooth.  Tato was all right in my book though, she got down on the floor and played after i tried to pull her out of her chair and pointed to the exact spot on the floor i needed her to sit. 

at some point during our playdate lil buddy and i started warming up to each other - he is such a good friend of mine because he points and laughs at me when i dance.  so i happily jump, jump, spin, and dance for a chuckle.  he even got in on the action and was doing his own jumps too!  we played with our daddies while our mommies and tato gabbed, and then before we knew it, it was time for me to go home for bedtime!  thanks for such a fun afternoon lil buddy!

the next day we went to visit my aunt, uncle, and puppy cousin jessie!  i love to visit them because they always have good snacks and big kid toys for me to play with. i loved the spicy cheese dip they had out and was conservative not to waste too many chips as i ate it.  just kept reusing the same chip over and over and licking the cheese off!  i don't really know why mommy was yelling at me, it seems like a good idea to me!

then we had pizza and my favorite - french fries!  yum yum.  but after dinner was when the fun started.  my aunt brought out a GIANT ball that i bounced and bounced on, she threw it to me and i tried to catch it, or tried to pick it up.  i kept pausing to hug and kiss jessie because he is one of my favorite puppies. he played so nice with me when i threw his toy for him!  i even got to play yoga on the big blue mat, it was so much fun.

AND, when i got home, i spent the first night in my BIG BOY BED!  well, it's really only my crib but it doesn't look like a crib anymore, it's a bed!  now cannoli and spoons can get up and down to snuggle with me!  and i can get my paci all on my own.  but the best part is, when i want to get out, there isn't a large fall like there was with my crib, and i don't have to climb like my monkey to get out of it!

i've been doing pretty well in my bed this week, except one night when my daddy looked at the camera and saw me sleeping half on the bed half kneeling on the floor.  he's so sneaky - he managed to get me back up there without waking me up!

oh, oh and i have one more day to talk about (it was a long weekend!).  i got to see my newest friend Mr. Mooshie and his mommy and daddy and puppy sophia on Monday!  i love to play with Moosh as long as my mommy doesn't try to pick him up.  nobody goes in my mommy's arms except ME!  so, after moosh was safely in his own momma's arms, i enjoyed the soft pretzels that she got for me and was a pro at keeping the puppy away as i ate (i've got a lot of experience with that ;)

then Moosh and i got out our soccer balls and had a catch.  mommy showed me how to be very gentle and told me i was only allowed to roll the ball to him.  i did sneak in a few throws though, and had to go to time out :(  but it was ok, because i came back and said i was sorry and got to play wee wee wee all the way home with the baby's toes!  and THEN Mooshe's daddy came down to play with me, he likes soccer too!  i had so much fun playing with him, i think he's very excited for when moosh is running around like me - and i think he will be this time next year!!

so folks, that was my weekend.  next time my mommy will be back with her regularly scheduled posting.  i'm sure she'll write about food because she loves it as much as i do.  her stomach just keeps getting bigger and bigger these days ;)
